The starting point of our involvement in the games development industry is through our participation in the first Intelectual Property Creators Challenge (IPCC) held in 2006, organized by Multimedia Development Corporation Malaysia (MDeC).
We entered with a game called Mystic Order, a strategy RPG game developed for Windows Mobile platform (initially was proposed for Nintendo DS).
We codenamed the project as 'Project Caterpillar' due to the nature of how the game was played. We are among the 5 winners in the competition.
During the competition, the organizer mistakenly assumed 'Project Caterpillar' as the name of our group.
We thought that was cool. Later on, we established the company and adapted the name Studio Caterpillar.
Now, we are not only focused on creating games, but have diversified our development into educational and informative applications as well.
